GMX Resources, Inc.  Bankruptcy New Filing Alert: Complaint To Avoid Alleged Preferential Transfers

On March 27, 2015, a complaint to avoid alleged preferential transfers was filed in the bankruptcy case of GMX Resources, Inc.  and its affiliates.

The filing was assigned docket number 1424 and is described on the court’s official docket as follows:

Adversary case 15-01082. (12 (Recovery of money/property – 547 preference)} Complaint by John P. Madden against Stallion Oilfield Services, LP. Fee Amount $350 (Brookner, Jason)

GMX Resources, Inc.  filed for bankruptcy protection, or had an involuntary bankruptcy petition filed against it, on April 1, 2013. The bankruptcy case is pending before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma . The case number for the lead bankruptcy case is 13-11456. The bankruptcy case is currently assigned to United States Bankruptcy Judge Sarah Hall. The law firm of Andrews Kurth LLP is acting as lead bankruptcy counsel to GMX Resources, Inc.  in the bankruptcy case.
